Aside from your mailing address, header and footer, and invoice labels, you have another place to add a customized message to your invoices.
Unlike all those mentioned, notes cannot be fixed; you'll have to add this to every new invoice.
To add a note:
Go to the invoice you'd like to edit
Below your client's details and above your first line item is a blank box
Fill in this box with your desired note! You can use this to provide additional information about the charges, reminders, payment instructions, a quick thank you, or whatever you prefer!
