Whenever you pay your workers or freelancers, these payments will show up as costs in LessAccounting. Just choose whether it's payment for employees (call it "Wages") or freelancers (label it as "Contract Labor"). In both situations, you'll be asked to pick the specific worker or freelancer (from your Contacts list) you want to assign that payment to.

Later, you can use our Payroll reports to find out how much you've paid particular freelancers during a specific time frame. This is really useful when tax season arrives and you need to complete W-2s or 1099s!

With employees and freelancers, you can:

  • Keep track of payments to individuals by categorizing expenses as Wages or Contract Labor

  • Use filters in your Payroll reports to see what you've paid each person within any chosen time period.
